Reverse engineering is essentially defined as manufacturing based on an existing sample. At Carnotech, we often produce parts without original manufacturing drawings, relying solely on the available sample. Contrary to common belief, reverse engineering involves complexities that require specialized expertise. Understanding dimensional logic is critically important in this process.
Our skilled team, with years of experience in diverse projects, is fully equipped to design and prepare complete manufacturing and inspection drawings. For simpler geometric parts, on-site presence is possible—a feature especially vital for production lines and equipment currently in operation. More complex parts, in terms of form, require optical measurement techniques.
Design is one of the most important activities at Carnotech. The design work in our engineering department is carried out by experienced and dedicated engineers with specialized expertise. At Carnotech, thanks to our mechanisms and controls, the risk of disclosing customers’ drawings, tools, and all sensitive information is nearly zero. All information received from clients is coded, used in a limited manner, and strictly controlled.
The entire design process is conducted according to recognized standards and undergoes multiple review stages. Our key strength at Carnotech is the comprehensive evaluation of designs from an execution perspective. In our technical committee, consisting of colleagues from manufacturing and engineering, all designs are reviewed for feasibility, tooling, and fixture-making—sometimes in coordination with the client.
The outcomes of these technical meetings ensure correct process execution and significantly contribute to reducing project timelines.
Headquarters
The Carno-tech headquarters is located in the Chahardangeh Industrial and Service Town. Since 2013, this site has been our base of operations and has evolved over the years from a manufacturing workshop to the company’s central office. Despite a significant reduction in administrative and operational staff, many core functions remain centered here. These include customer reception, research and planning activities, oversight of outsourced operations, and management of the company’s major financial affairs.
Continuing the site’s original purpose as a machining workshop with limited services, certain project-related tasks are still performed here, such as packaging and shipping of small products, limited welding, brazing, babbitt casting, grinding and refurbishment, overhaul of small machinery, and other tasks requiring special attention. We plan to utilize this location in the future for the production of our new medical products.
Factory
The company’s primary manufacturing facility is located in Esmaeilabad Industrial Town, Shahr-e Qods. All production and fabrication activities—including machining, wire cutting, welding, and measurement—are carried out at this site. The typical project workflow begins with order receipt, followed by technical meetings involving relevant personnel. After thorough understanding and briefing of the team, the production strategy is communicated to the respective departments, including engineering, planning, and manufacturing.
The staff at this facility possess high expertise in process execution and control, which gives us strong confidence in the complete success of each order. To protect client confidentiality, access to this facility is highly restricted, and personnel access to customer documents is strictly controlled according to classification protocols.
Outsourcing services
At Carno-tech, our scope of activities is very diverse and extensive, making it economically unjustifiable to supply and maintain the entire range of required machinery ourselves. Moreover, insisting on performing certain tasks in-house could seriously undermine our key advantage—lean and agile production (reducing costs and lead times while delivering quality far beyond expectations). Therefore, we leverage the capacities and capabilities of trusted partners and companies for certain stages of orders.
It is worth noting that our outsourcing process at Carno-tech involves distributing all classified drawings in a highly restricted manner across multiple contractors. This approach enables us to operate wherever needed with minimal cost and in the shortest possible time.
Optimization encompasses a wide range of objectives. At Carno-tech, we offer this service to improve the performance and durability of components. The optimization process begins with a thorough assessment of performance to identify the root cause of any issues. Following this, problems are resolved through measures such as material and production method changes, redesign, analysis, reinforcement of critical points, and more. We ensure complete resolution by monitoring the implemented actions over various time intervals.
This valuable service is extensively used in the development of technical knowledge for manufacturing parts and is provided to our clients as a standard offering. Examples include optimizing various tapered bushings for cooling tower pulleys (changing material from GG to GGG and modifying the keyway design), blower flanges for 5-megawatt turbines (from ST37 to ST52 material), diffuser material changes (from steel sheet to gray cast iron), manufacturing bucket teeth from forged steel instead of casting, and dozens of similar projects.
Refurbishment of parts is one of our key services to customers. Since manufacturing certain parts can be costly, difficult, and time-consuming, and when refurbishment is permissible, we carry out restoration operations. A refurbished part functions like a new one and may remain in service for an extended period without failure.
The refurbishment process begins with cleaning and degreasing the parts, followed by marking and repairing defective areas.
Carno-tech, due to its extensive activities across various industrial sectors and the need for a wide range of raw materials, is capable of supplying precision instruments, rare materials—including various superalloys in sheet, rod, welding filler, and casting ingot forms—in the shortest time and at the most competitive prices. As a major consumer of these items ourselves, we fully understand your requirements.
Additionally, leveraging experienced and relevant managers, we offer consultancy services across different manufacturing and engineering domains to help you avoid wasting time and costs.
